What is the GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a new EU Regulation to significantly enhance the protection of the personal data of EU citizens and increase the obligations on organisations who collect or process personal data.
Some of the information we collect may be classified as "personal data" under European Union (EU) law as it is information relating to an individual (e.g. a small business owner, sole trader, a partnership, a company director, a beneficial owner, a trustee, a professional contact etc).
We collect information on businesses and business professionals. This is classified as “Commercial Data” and following are some examples:
Company and business professional contact information, including name, job title, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, domain names, and industry sector.
Detailed company profiles and statistics, including number of employees, technologies used.
Background information regarding company management, such as beneficial ownership/persons of significant control, the educational and career histories of company principals.
Business compliance information from public source government and professional records, media and business publications.
GetProfiles do not collect any information in relation to a European resident’s date of birth, race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life or sexual orientation, genetic or biometric data.

The legal bases for Getprofiles's processing of personal data are primarily that the processing is carried out under the ground of GetProfiles’s “legitimate interest”. GetProfiles legitimate business interest is the supply of commercial data (and the marketing of our business). The purpose is to licence or sell professional business contact information to authorized partners or organisations for marketing and data management purposes, to know who they are doing business with and to better understand organization, industries and markets.
Data Subject Rights
You have the right to request from us confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, and if so access to that information.
If any of your personal data is inaccurate you have a right to request rectification.
You have the right to object to our processing and/or request it is deleted or restricted.
Before we are able to provide you with any information or correct any inaccuracies we may ask you to verify your identity and to provide other details to help us identify you and respond to your request. You can contact GetProfiles data protection officer at any time on dpo(@)getprofiles.io.
Subject Access Request
Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) individuals (including sole traders and non-limited liability partners) wishing to access their Personal Data (as defined in GDPR) stored at GetProfiles should submit a request with the information in this form to email@example.com. You should receive all the information that has been located and can be released within 28 days.
Right to be Forgotten
As a GetProfiles subscriber, you may update, correct, or delete your Account information and preferences at any time by accessing your Account settings page on the Service. You may change your personal information as often as you like and even print out a copy of the personal information for your records. If you wish to access or amend any other Personal Data we hold about you, or to request that we delete or transfer any information about you that we have obtained, you may contact us on support(@)getprofiles.io. At your request, we will have any reference to you deleted or blocked in our database.
GetProfiles shall provide reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security controls to protect the information provided by you in compliance with all local, state and federal rules, laws and regulations for the time being in force. This includes, for example, firewalls, password protection and other access and authentication controls. We use SSL technology to encrypt data during transmission through public internet, and we also employ application-layer security features to further anonymize Personal Data. However, no security controls are 100% effective and we cannot ensure or warrant that the information and data provided by you will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described herein. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose your information or data to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or users may abuse or misuse your information and other data that the third party collects from the use of our Website and our products/services/applications.
If we learn of a security systems breach, we will inform you and the authorities of the occurrence of the breach in accordance with applicable law.
